Novastar Partners, a prominent investment platform focused on India’s private markets, has made a strategic investment in A Junior VC (AJVC). This early-stage venture capital fund was established by Aviral Bhatnagar. The investment aims to assist Novastar in crafting a varied portfolio of premier funds and businesses within India’s burgeoning private market landscape, primarily concentrating on technology and technology-enabled ventures.

Supporting AJVC’s Growth in India’s Pre-Seed Ecosystem

The investment from Novastar is designed to bolster AJVC’s ongoing activities within India’s pre-seed ecosystem, as the fund works to create a robust platform for emerging companies. This partnership will also allow Novastar access to firms at their earliest development stages across various sectors, including artificial intelligence, healthcare, deep technology, consumer technology, and brands.

AJVC’s Investment Strategy and Portfolio

With an investment corpus of approximately Rs 165 crore, AJVC has already provided support to more than 35 companies and has plans to invest in over 85 firms throughout the fund’s lifecycle. Novastar Partners was established by Dhruv Jhunjhunwala and has a mission to invest in India’s private markets. The firm actively participates in leading private equity and venture capital funds, alongside selective direct investments in private enterprises, with a particular emphasis on technology and tech-enabled sectors.

AJVC is dedicated to early-stage venture capital, with a specific focus on pre-seed investments throughout India. The fund reports that it has developed a programmatic, technology-centric strategy to aid startups right from their initial stages.
