Nua Secures $50 Million in Series C Funding for Women’s Wellness

Nua, a prominent women’s wellness brand, has successfully raised $50 million in its Series C funding round. This round was spearheaded by Peak XV Partners and Filter Capital, with contributions from current investors including Mirabilis Investment Trust and Footpath Ventures. The financing incorporates both primary capital and a secondary element, facilitating partial exits for Kae Capital, Lightbox VC, and other angel investors.

Based in Mumbai, Nua has raised approximately $71.5 million to date, including $4 million (Rs 35 crore) from a pre-Series C round that was led by Mirabilis Investment Trust in February 2025. The newly acquired funds will be directed towards enhancing brand development, expanding distribution channels, and investing in research and development along with new product creation, as stated by Nua in an official release.

Nua’s Position in Women’s Wellness

According to Peak XV, Nua stands out as the second-largest online entity in the women’s wellness segment. Established in 2017 by Ravi Ramachandran, Nua provides a variety of products focusing on period care, maternity care, and everyday intimate wellness. The company claims to reach over 3 million women and girls on a monthly basis.

Financial Growth and Product Expansion

Nua asserts that it has escalated its annualised revenue run rate from Rs 100 crore to Rs 500 crore over the previous 24 months while maintaining profitability. Additionally, the company has broadened its offerings to include digital products such as the Nua Period Tracker App and SecretKeeper chat.

With the infusion of this new capital, Nua intends to strengthen its footprint within the women’s wellness arena and develop a more extensive portfolio of products and digital services that cater to the evolving needs of women and girls.

Investment Milestones

Nua’s $50 million funding round positions it among one of India’s largest financial transactions related to women’s hygiene startups, eclipsing Pee Safe’s $32 million round earlier this January. Nua faces competition from other significant players in this sector, including Whisper, Stayfree, and Sofy, among others.
