Nuuk Raises $5 Million in Series A Funding for Home Appliances

The D2C home appliances brand Nuuk has successfully secured $5 million (Rs 40 crore) in a Series A funding round, which was spearheaded by Vertex Ventures SEAI. This round also included participation from returning investor Good Capital and several angel investors, including Rohit Kapoor from Swiggy, Vivek Gambhir from Boat and Godrej Consumer, Richard Rekhy from KPMG India, Suhail Sameer from BharatPe, Taru Kapoor from Tinder India & South Asia, and Deep Bajaj from Sirona Hygiene.

The funds raised will be utilized to enhance Nuuk’s product range within the home environment sector, specifically focusing on vacuum cleaners and meal preparation equipment. Moreover, the brand also aims to venture into smart IoT devices and other advanced home solutions.

About Nuuk and Its Founders

Founded by Gazal Kalra, a co-founder of Rivigo, and Shalabh Gupta from Noise, Nuuk offers a diverse selection of products across four primary categories: fans, vacuum cleaners, garment care items, and juicers and blenders. As of now, Nuuk manufactures only 20% of its offerings in India, with the remaining 80% being imported from China. Nevertheless, co-founder Shalabh Gupta has indicated that the startup has set a goal of increasing domestic production to over 50% by the conclusion of the financial year 2025-26 (FY26).
