Nuvie, an F&B startup, has successfully raised $450K (approximately Rs 3.8 crore) in its initial pre-seed funding round, led by the startup accelerator PedalStart. This round also saw contributions from notable individuals, including Mukesh Bansal, founder of Myntra, Cult.fit, and Nurix, alongside Ayyappan R, Chanakya Gupta, and Arun Sharma. The funds will primarily support the development of new products, brand enhancement strategies, content generation, expansion of distribution networks, and the identification of growth opportunities.

Nuvie’s Vision for Healthy Eating

Founded in May 2024 by Prashant Paliwal and Hem Narayan, Nuvie is focused on transforming the landscape of healthy eating in India with its “better for you” product offerings. These include improved milkshakes and chocolates designed to make wellness not only accessible but also enjoyable. Their strategy aims to eliminate the stigma and seriousness often associated with health, instead promoting a lifestyle that feels effortless and enjoyable.

Innovative Product Offerings

Nuvie has launched its lactose-free Ready to Drink Protein Shake in three flavours and is set to introduce five additional shake variants. Their product lineup also features inventive solutions like a protein chocolate bar, a healthier alternative to traditional chocolates, and protein-infused cold coffee, known as “Proffee.”

Expanding Retail Presence

The Bengaluru-based startup reports significant expansion, currently available in over 100 premium retail outlets across major metropolitan areas such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Additionally, Nuvie’s products are found in more than 200 gyms and are accessible nationwide through key quick commerce platforms including Blinkit, Instamart, and BigBasket. The brand is committed to enhancing its online visibility through its own website and additional quick commerce channels.

Strong Financial Traction

Nuvie claims strong initial traction, achieving over Rs 10 lakh in monthly revenue from its launch month. Looking ahead, the startup aims to conclude the calendar year 2025 with an ARR of Rs 10 crore.
