Optimo Capital, an MSME-focused non-banking financial company, has achieved remarkable growth in its second year of operations, showcasing more than a fivefold increase in revenue. The company has also enhanced its profitability while extending its lending reach across Tier-II and Tier-III markets.

The Bengaluru-based organisation reported that its revenue from operations skyrocketed over 5X to Rs 68.5 crore in FY26, a notable rise from Rs 13.1 crore in the prior fiscal year. Total income similarly climbed to Rs 70.5 crore from Rs 14.3 crore, as stated in the company’s recent release.

Optimo’s profit after tax experienced a notable surge, increasing 4.8X to Rs 10.5 crore in FY26 from Rs 2.2 crore in the previous year. The organisation also experienced significant growth in its lending operations. Its assets under management expanded by 179% to reach Rs 441 crore at the close of FY26, compared to Rs 158 crore in FY25. In addition, loan disbursements soared by 155% to Rs 401 crore during the year.

The company reported serving 3,277 active borrowers in FY26, a significant increase from approximately 1,200 the year before.

Branch Expansion and Employee Growth

Optimo’s branch network has also seen substantial growth, now encompassing 49 locations across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh. The employee count has reached 580, further supporting the company’s ambitious growth strategy.

Funding and Future Goals

Backed by Blume Ventures and Omnivore Partners, Optimo Capital has accumulated Rs 228 crore in equity funding to date, which includes a personal investment of Rs 73 crore from founder Prashant Pitti. The company aims to achieve Rs 1,200 crore in assets under management by FY27 and has plans to expand its branch network to 158 locations by FY30.
