Orthopedic Recovery Startup Lumov Secures $1.2 Million in Seed Funding
Bengaluru-based orthopedic recovery startup Lumov has completed a seed funding round, securing $1.2 million (Rs 10 crore), primarily led by Incubate Fund Asia. The investment round also included contributions from QRG Investments & Holdings (Havells Family Office), IIMA Ventures, SIDBI, and various angel investors such as Ashish Gupta, Saket Narang, Abhishek Goyal, and Arjun Vaidya, among others. The funds will facilitate the company’s growth initiatives, including the strengthening of surgeon partnerships and the swift development of innovative products.
Plans for Expansion and Product Development
With this funding, Lumov aims to enhance its operations and expand its reach to regions including Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. The startup is also focused on bolstering its manufacturing and sales teams to meet increasing demand.

Founded by Saumaric Dangwal and Ankit Gupta, Lumov specializes in the design and manufacture of orthopedic recovery and rehabilitation products catering to post-surgical care, pain management, and long-term mobility support. The brand collaborates with orthopedic specialists from recognized hospital chains like Manipal, Apollo, Sakra, and AIG, to create clinically validated products specifically designed for Indian patients.

Lumov currently operates with a dedicated team of 15 professionals and is planning to increase its workforce across product development, sales, and operations. The startup is addressing significant gaps in India’s musculoskeletal care market, where there is a considerable need for cohesive rehabilitation and post-surgical recovery solutions.
