Pentathlon Ventures, a venture capital firm specialising in B2B technology, has successfully completed the final close of its second fund, raising a total of Rs 255 crore. This fund is set to invest in around 16 to 20 seed-stage startups.

The focus of the fund will include sectors such as Enterprise AI Transformation, Fintech, Healthtech, Cybersecurity, Logistics, and Manufacturing, aligning with the dynamic landscape of enterprise innovation.

This initiative has garnered backing from a varied mix of family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and accomplished entrepreneurs from India, the United States, and the Middle East, highlighting the robust cross-border confidence in India’s burgeoning B2B technology landscape.

Pentathlon Ventures maintains its commitment to a B2B, use-case-first investment strategy. With Fund II, the firm is broadening its horizons to include not only software products but also AI-driven systems and hardware solutions that tackle significant operational challenges in large-scale industries.

As of now, Pentathlon Ventures has made investments in 8 companies through Fund II, which constitutes roughly half of its intended portfolio. The initial investments are demonstrating strong traction in enterprise use cases. The firm focuses on disciplined capital allocation and quality company development, with an anticipated remaining fund life of around 5.5 years.

Over the next two years, Pentathlon Ventures aims to create a concentrated portfolio of premium B2B technology firms while actively collaborating with founders to prepare for Series A/B funding, develop enterprise go-to-market strategies, and expand globally, particularly targeting the US and Gulf markets.

Pentathlon Ventures operates as an early-stage, operator-led B2B tech VC fund. The firm collaborates with early-stage technology businesses, assisting them in scaling operations through expert guidance, an extensive ecosystem, and adequate capital. As an operator-led venture capital firm, its goal is to lead seed funding rounds, fostering the growth and success of innovative startups.
