Peppermint Robotics Secures Rs 100 Crore in Funding

Peppermint Robotics, a robotics startup based in Pune, has successfully raised Rs 100 crore (approximately $10.5 million) during a Pre-Series B funding round. The round was led by pi Ventures and Crane Venture Partners, with Asiana Fund also participating. This funding consists of both primary capital and secondary share transactions.

The newly acquired funds will be utilized to boost manufacturing capabilities, design next-generation robotics solutions, and enhance the company’s international operations. Additionally, Peppermint intends to set up an assembly line in North America in the near future.

About Peppermint Robotics

Founded in 2019, Peppermint Robotics specializes in creating autonomous robots designed for commercial floor cleaning and material transportation. The company has broadened its reach to nine countries, establishing the US as its largest market.

Applications of Peppermint’s Robots

Peppermint’s robotic solutions are currently employed in various settings, including factories, hospitals, airports, shopping malls, warehouses, hotels, and universities. The company also caters to pharmaceutical cleanrooms, where its robots have successfully completed qualification testing in an EU GMP Grade cleanroom.

In-House Development

The startup handles its robotics hardware, software, and perception systems internally. Its robots leverage computer vision and LiDAR technology to navigate environments, plan cleaning routes, and avoid obstacles. Furthermore, Peppermint also provides offline robots suitable for security-sensitive areas.

Planned Areas of Investment

The primary capital will be funneled into five key areas: research and engineering, expansion of manufacturing, operations in North America, global market growth, and the recruitment of senior leadership and engineering experts.

Peppermint also aims to broaden its portfolio with more autonomous floor-cleaning and material-handling robots while progressing its next-generation cleanroom robotics line.

Previous Funding Round

Earlier, the company secured Rs 34 crore (approximately $4 million) during a Series A funding round in April 2025. According to Peppermint, its revenue has surged nearly sixfold between FY24 and FY26, having doubled in the previous year.
