eNLife Research: Leading the Charge in Early Detection of Neurodegenerative Diseases

eNLife Research: Raising Funding for Innovative Diagnostic Solutions

eNLife Research, a cutting-edge technology startup, has successfully secured Rs 6 crore in seed funding, with Piper Serica VC Fund leading the investment round. The funds will be allocated to enhance and validate its blood-based biomarker platform, grow its research and development team in Bengaluru, and evolve its first diagnostic assay from prototype to clinical-grade validation, as stated in a company press release.

About eNLife Research

Founded in 2025 by Deepak Kumaran Nair, Jojo Jacob, and Anish Mathew, eNLife Research is focused on creating affordable, AI-powered diagnostic platforms. These platforms aim to detect Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases well in advance of clinical symptoms becoming visible.

Innovative Approach to Diagnostics

Based in Bengaluru, eNLife integrates highly sensitive biomarker detection from readily available bodily fluids with advanced machine learning techniques. This method is designed to identify the earliest biological markers of disease onset.

Collaborative Efforts in Research

eNLife is collaborating with premier Indian research institutions to craft a diagnostic platform tailored specifically to Indian genetic makeup and lifestyle risks. The overarching aim is to render early detection of neurodegenerative diseases more accessible, scalable, and affordable.

The startup is currently working with researchers affiliated with prestigious organisations such as IISc, NIMHANS, TIFR Hyderabad, and CBR Bengaluru to develop biomarker datasets unique to India. eNLife anticipates starting patent applications within the next 9 to 18 months, covering biomarker binders, diagnostic assays, and its detection platform.

Efficient Testing Solutions

The test developed by eNLife can be conducted at routine diagnostic centres, providing results within a timeframe of two to five hours. The company’s AI technology is being refined to recognise subtle correlations between biomarkers, enabling the detection of early indicators of disease progression long before clinical symptoms manifest.
