AlgoFET: Deep Tech Startup Innovating Drone Infrastructure

AlgoFET has successfully raised Rs 15 crore in a pre Series A funding round, with lead investment coming from Piper Serica. The newly acquired funds will aid in advancing the development of its infrastructure products, facilitate in-house manufacturing, fortify proprietary intellectual property, and promote deployments across defence, enterprise, and global markets.

Overview of AlgoFET

Founded in December 2023 by Ankit Mishra, AlgoFET is creating autonomous ground infrastructure tailored for drones. The company’s offerings include docking solutions, charging systems, battery management, and fleet monitoring, all designed to optimise continual drone operations with minimal human oversight.

Intellectual Property and Deployment

AlgoFET boasts proprietary intellectual property in several critical areas, including autonomous docking, intelligent battery management, high-power charging, embedded electronics, and cloud-based fleet infrastructure. The startup has successfully deployed over 2,000 units and maintains an order pipeline exceeding 4,000 units. Its clientele encompasses defence, government, logistics, and enterprise drone operators in India, along with initial interest from drone manufacturers in the US and Europe.

Focus on Autonomous Operations

Despite advancements, drone operations still necessitate manual involvement for tasks like charging, battery replacements, and deployments. AlgoFET aims to enhance this ground infrastructure layer to allow drones to recharge and redeploy autonomously, with limited human engagement.

Technology Layers

The Bengaluru-based startup has developed its technology across five integrated layers, which include autonomous docking mechanisms, intelligent battery management systems, high-power charging solutions, embedded electronics and firmware, as well as cloud-based fleet monitoring. These components are designed as a vertically integrated stack encompassing hardware, software, and firmware.

Industry Competition

Other startups are entering the autonomous drone operations space, including Nashik-based NxtQube, which is developing drone-agnostic autonomous docking infrastructure. Similarly, Aetherium Labs is focused on creating weatherproof drone bases with automated charging functions.

Recent Funding in the Drone Sector

In March 2026, Skye Air secured $9 million in a Series B round to enhance its autonomous logistics technology, airspace management platform, and physical AI infrastructure. Additionally, SUIND raised Rs 20.5 crore in seed funding in July 2026, aimed at scaling autonomous drone platforms for applications in agriculture, surveillance, and infrastructure inspection.
