Pluto Mobility: Leading the Charge in Electric Vehicles for Last-Mile Logistics

Pluto Mobility has successfully secured $2 million in a seed funding round, spearheaded by Version One Ventures, with notable contributions from Grad Capital. This funding round witnessed the backing of founders and senior leaders from prominent companies including Delhivery, OfBusiness, Pixxel, and Boom Supersonic. The capital received will aid in enhancing engineering and product development, growing the team, and initiating pilot deployments in key urban centres.

Innovative Vehicle Design for Delivery Needs

Founded by Akshat Bhatia and Himanshu Panda, the Delhi-based company is focused on creating electric vehicles tailored specifically for last-mile logistics applications. Pluto Mobility is engineering scooter-sized electric delivery vehicles that are fully covered and specifically designed to endure challenging weather conditions. These vehicles will have the capacity to carry up to two times the number of orders compared to conventional two-wheelers.

Efficiency and Durability at the Core

Pluto Mobility is constructing its vehicles from the ground up to meet the demands of delivery workloads, prioritising throughput, durability, and cost efficiency while avoiding unnecessary complexity in fleet management. The startup is set to kick off pilot deployments in 2026, with a target audience of e-commerce and quick-commerce operators.
