Investment Update: QRG Investment Sells Stake in Awfis

QRG Investment has divested its 82% stake in the co-working solutions provider Awfis through a significant transaction. Based on a corporate announcement made on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), QRG has sold 24,07,800 shares at a price of Rs 585.14 each, amounting to Rs 140.9 crore. Previously, QRG had transferred 3,67,408 shares of Awfis last month, which totalled Rs 22 crore, resulting in a complete disinvestment of 94% of its equity in the firm.

Current Holdings of QRG Investment in Awfis

As of March 2025, QRG Investment retained 29,39,074 shares in Awfis, representing around 4.11% of the company’s overall capitalisation. QRG Investments and Holdings Limited, part of the QRG Group, functions as a mid-tier non-banking financial company (NBFC).

HSBC Mutual Fund’s Acquisition

In related news, HSBC Mutual Fund has acquired 9,18,300 shares of Awfis at Rs 585 per share, which brings the total investment to Rs 53.72 crore through a bulk deal on Tuesday, as further disclosed.

VBAP Holdings’ Stake Disposal

Earlier this month, VBAP Holdings Private Limited offloaded its 23.6% stake in Awfis via a bulk transaction for Rs 56.8 crore.

Awfis’ Financial Performance

The company’s operational revenue soared by 30% year-on-year, reaching Rs 335 crore in Q1 FY26, compared to Rs 258 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Additionally, Awfis reported a profit increase of 3.5 times, posting Rs 10 crore in Q1 FY26, up from Rs 2.8 crore in Q1 FY25.

Current Stock Status

As of 10:50 AM, Awfis’ stock is trading at Rs 577 with a total market cap of Rs 4,126 crore.
