Quintrans Raises $750K to Advance Direct-Drive Linear Motion Systems

Quintrans Secures $750K for Direct-Drive Linear Motion Systems

Quintrans, an innovative deep tech engineering startup focused on India-built direct-drive linear motion systems for industrial automation, robotics, and equipment manufacturing, has successfully secured $750K in a pre-seed funding round. This round was led by Capital-A, with participation from Sumeet Kabra of RR Global, SanchiConnect, AIC-Pinnacle, existing partner IIMA Ventures, and other investors.

The funding will be utilized to set up an in-house manufacturing and advanced testing facility in Pune, enhance research and development in the field of electromagnetic actuation, and recruit the core engineering and operations team necessary for a successful commercial launch, as stated by Quintrans in a press release.

About Quintrans

Founded in 2021 by Pranay Luniya, Kartik Kulkarni, Aniruddha Atigre, and Prasanna Kadambi, Quintrans focuses on developing cutting-edge direct-drive electromagnetic linear motion systems aimed at industrial applications. Their technology facilitates frictionless, high-speed, and ultra-precise motion solutions for robotics, warehouse automation, and manufacturing settings.

Market Opportunity

According to market research, India produced and sold approximately 6.8 million actuators in FY 2022, with projections indicating that this number will exceed 10–11 million units by FY 2026. This growth is primarily driven by the automotive sector, industrial automation, HVAC, and marine industries.

As detailed by the Pune-based startup, its design and manufacturing strategy promotes cost efficiency, custom deployments, and guaranteed service. Quintrans adopts an engineering-first methodology, developing both hardware and control electronics internally to ensure customers receive a comprehensive and integrated solution.

Participation in MaXcel Accelerator
