RARA Barefoot has successfully secured $500K in an oversubscribed pre-seed funding round, marking the launch of its first sneaker line. This round saw participation from founders and senior executives associated with Zomato, Urban Company, Tata 1mg, Shyft, and HexaHealth, along with Managing Directors and Partners from ChrysCapital and BCG. The funds will facilitate the brand’s national direct-to-consumer (D2C) rollout, the establishment of selective offline retail partnerships, and an increase in local manufacturing capabilities, all aimed at delivering barefoot sneakers to Indian consumers.

Innovative Sneaker Features
RARA Barefoot emphasises that each sneaker features three key designs: a flat sole with no heel-toe drop, an accommodating wide toe box for healthy toe splay, and a flexible sole that adapts to the 33 joints of the foot. All sneakers are produced in India, combining a global approach to barefoot design with locally sourced, high-performance materials.
