Rusk Media has successfully acquired Rs 103 crore ($12 million) in a Series B financing round, spearheaded by IvyCap Ventures. This round also saw contributions from LC Nueva, InfoEdge Ventures, Woori Venture Partners, alongside the company’s promoters and family. The Series B round was first disclosed by Startup Superb in March of this year. To date, Rusk Media has raised approximately $12 million, which includes a $9.5 million Series A round led by DAOL Investment and Audacity Ventures.

Growth and Expansion Plans

The funds from this latest round will be allocated towards Rusk Media’s growth initiatives in the US, Europe, and EMEA regions. Additionally, the company is set to create new entertainment intellectual properties (IPs) to engage global audiences. Rusk Media is involved in the production and distribution of content across social media and OTT platforms, offering web series, unscripted formats, micro-dramas, and live events. Their innovative technology and AI-driven workflows streamline production, distribution, and audience interaction.

Content Portfolio and Audience Reach

The company takes pride in having launched over 50 seasons across 20 distinct titles and retains ownership of the majority of its IPs. Key offerings include Battleground, Playground S4, Engaged, The Society, School Friends, and Roomies. Rusk Media’s platforms, which encompass Rumble (B2B) and Alright App (B2C), collectively generate nearly 1 billion monthly views across social media and OTT channels.

Financial Performance

Rusk Media has demonstrated robust performance with a notable 40.6% year-on-year increase in its revenue, reaching Rs 56.8 crore in the most recent fiscal year (FY24). Concurrently, the company successfully decreased its losses by 56%, bringing them down to Rs 28.7 crore. The fiscal results for FY25 have yet to be submitted.
