Leadership Transition at Myntra with Sharon Pais Taking Charge
Leadership transition is underway at Myntra, as Flipkart Group has appointed Sharon Pais as the new head, effective immediately. This strategic decision places her under the supervision of Kalyan Krishnamurthy. The announcement comes after the departure of outgoing CEO Nandita Sinha, who is stepping down from her role.
Sharon Pais has previously been at the forefront of the fashion category at Flipkart and also held the position of chief business officer at Myntra. Her extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the industry are expected to support the company as it seeks to maintain its current momentum. The firm indicated that Nandita Sinha will aid in the transition process over the next few months.
Changes in Leadership Structure
In addition to the leadership shift, Kapil Thirani has been appointed to spearhead Flipkart Fashion, reporting directly to Sakait Chaudhary. The company is also set to begin the search for a successor in the marketplace division.
Myntra’s Growth Strategy Under Sharon Pais
With Sharon Pais at the helm, Myntra aims to expand its rapid commerce initiative, M-Now, which is anticipated to serve as a major growth channel. Launched in November 2024, M-Now provides delivery of fashion and beauty products within a 30-minute to two-hour timeframe. It is in competition with platforms like Slikk, Knot, and Zilo.
M-Now is currently operational in 10 cities and covers over 940 pin codes, offering approximately 100,000 styles from more than 1,000 brands.
During Nandita Sinha’s leadership, Myntra achieved a significant financial milestone, reporting its first profitable fiscal year. The profit surged to Rs 548 crore in FY25, up 18 times from Rs 30 crore in FY24, while revenue grew by 18% to reach Rs 6,042.7 crore.
