SkinInspired Secures $2.9 Million in Series A Funding for Dermaceutical Skincare
SkinInspired, a dermaceutical skincare brand based in New Delhi, has successfully obtained $2.9 million (Rs 24 crore) through a Series A funding round led by Spring Marketing Capital. This funding round also included contributions from Lotus Herbals’ Beauty Innovation Fund and Arihant Patni of Patni Financial Advisors, with existing investor Unilever Ventures joining in as well.
Previous Funding and Objectives
Earlier in July 2024, SkinInspired raised Rs 12.25 crore (approximately $1.5 million) in its seed funding round, also spearheaded by Unilever Ventures among other investors. The recent funds will be allocated towards enhancing research and product innovation, investing in brand development, and expanding the team further. Additionally, SkinInspired aims to broaden its distribution network while scaling its operations in the dermaceutical skincare market in India.
Founders and Product Focus
Founded in 2022 by FMCG industry expert Piyush Jain and dermatologist Dr. Prashant Agrawal, SkinInspired is dedicated to creating effective, clinically-tested skincare products developed in collaboration with dermatologists. The company collaborates with over 200 dermatologists, boasting strong repeat usage rates across its product line.
Brand Commitments
Dr. Agrawal emphasized that the brand will maintain a focus on formulation quality, ingredient transparency, and clinical validation while adhering to vegan and cruelty-free standards. SkinInspired also enjoys support from angel investors such as Arjun Vaidya, Ruchi Kohli, Chinmaya Goyal, Ana Kapur, Jivraj Singh Sachar, and Swapnil Sheth.
