Home Services Growth: Snabbit Surpasses Urban Company in Q2 FY27

Home services startup Snabbit achieved a notable net transaction value (NTV) of Rs 72 crore in Q2 FY27, slightly ahead of Urban Company’s InstaHelp, which recorded Rs 71 crore. However, Snabbit experienced a lower burn rate of Rs 142 crore compared to InstaHelp’s adjusted EBITDA loss of Rs 174 crore during the same period, as shared by Snabbit co-founder Ayush Agarwal on LinkedIn. These statistics indicate that both platforms had similar transaction values, yet Urban Company’s InstaHelp faced an additional loss of Rs 32 crore in the quarter. Nonetheless, these burn figures may not be directly comparable unless a shared accounting measure is applied.

Revenue and Order Growth

Urban Company disclosed revenues of Rs 20.37 crore from InstaHelp in Q2 FY27, marking an impressive 82% growth quarter-on-quarter. The platform handled 6.2 million orders within this quarter, yielding an average revenue of approximately Rs 33 per order.

Snabbit’s Performance Metrics

Agarwal’s post highlighted that Snabbit processed 6.4 million orders during the same timeframe. This positions both platforms similarly regarding order volumes. Snabbit reported an operating revenue of Rs 12.25 crore, alongside a net loss of Rs 168 crore in FY26. The company also noted a remarkable 75-fold increase in daily jobs over the year, reflecting significant expansion in its quick home services market.

Market Competition Insights

The figures from Q2 shed light on the fierce competition prevalent in the instant home services sector, where companies are significantly investing to attract customers and grow their businesses. With both Snabbit and Urban Company achieving comparable NTV figures, their focus on enhancing unit economics and mitigating losses will be crucial for their future scaling efforts.
