SpaceFields Secures $5 Million to Advance Rocket Propulsion Systems
Bengaluru-based deeptech startup SpaceFields has successfully raised $5 million, approximately Rs 42 crore, in its pre-Series A funding round led by Globaz Technologies. This round also saw participation from Rockstud Capital, Venture Catalysts, Rainmatter by Nithin Kamath, Burla Angel Network, Faad Capital, SIDBI, O2 Angels, and MeitY Startup Hub, among others.
Before this funding round, SpaceFields had raised $1.3 million in seed funding from Jamwant Ventures, HVB 88 Angels, and several other investors in 2024. The funds raised will aid in scaling up manufacturing, securing essential regulatory certifications, and expanding the team to cover engineering, operations, and business functions.

Founded in 2021 by Apurwa Masook, Rounak Agrawal, and Sudarshan Samal, SpaceFields is committed to developing advanced rocket propulsion systems tailored for defence and aerospace applications. The company has successfully created solid-fuel powered propulsion systems suitable for UAVs, rockets, and spacecraft.
Government Contracts and Innovations
The startup has already obtained four defence contracts through the Ministry of Defence’s iDEX initiative and has secured patents for four unique propulsion technologies developed in-house.
Collaboration with Globaz Technologies
As part of this funding round, SpaceFields will collaborate with lead investor Globaz to innovate crucial, sovereign, dual-use technologies that will enhance India’s defence and aerospace value chain. Globaz, based in Delhi NCR, focuses on the design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing of aerospace and defence electronics.
