Onto: Customer-First Travel Platform Launches with $1 Million Funding
Onto, a customer-focused travel platform, has unveiled its services and successfully raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Stargazer Fund, with contributions from Singapore’s White Venture Capital. This funding will assist in expanding operations, enhancing technological infrastructure, and developing new offerings, according to a statement from Onto.
About Onto
Founded in June 2026 by Jagdeep Singh and Shubham Goyal, Onto aids travellers in discovering and booking hotels while tracking price reductions on qualified reservations, including those made via other platforms.
Innovative Features of Onto
The Bengaluru-based startup’s initial feature, Price Drop Refund, guarantees automatic refunds to travellers if the price of a qualifying hotel booking decreases after the reservation is confirmed. This service is applicable to bookings made through Onto and eligible reservations made on other platforms.
Onto keeps an eye on hotel prices after a booking is secured. In the event that the same hotel room for the same dates becomes available at a lesser price, the platform refunds the price difference back to the original payment method. Travellers are kept informed about price changes and refunds via WhatsApp and app notifications.
Expanding Services
The company has partnered with various hotel suppliers, enabling it to provide bookings for both national and international locations. Onto has plans to broaden its services beyond hotel bookings to streamline additional components of the travel experience.
Future Developments
Additionally, Onto is working on AI-driven features to discern travellers’ preferences and historical travel behaviour, allowing it to suggest tailored options and clarify why those suggestions may fit their needs.
