Sychedelic Secures $3.5 Million Seed Funding for Innovative Neuromodulation Wearable
Sychedelic, a company based in Gurugram and New York, has successfully raised $3.5 million (approximately Rs 31.5 crore) in a seed funding round. This financing was led by notable investors such as TurboStart, Ideabaaz, and Praveek Ventures, along with contributions from angel investors in India, the UAE, and the NRI community. The fresh capital will be directed towards marketing efforts, scaling up manufacturing, expanding research initiatives, and preparing for the company’s upcoming global Kickstarter launch scheduled for May 2026.
Innovative Neuromodulation Wearable
The startup, founded by Ria Rustagi and Bhavya, is developing what it claims to be the world’s first closed-loop neuromodulation wearable, designed in a headphone format for daily use. This innovative device combines neurostimulation, biometric tracking, and adaptive AI to monitor and react to the user’s mental state in real-time.
Advanced Technology for Mental Wellness
According to the company, this wearable integrates advanced technologies such as tDCS, binaural beats, and HRV biofeedback, creating personalised neuroadaptive experiences aimed at reducing stress, enhancing focus, supporting sleep, and improving overall mental wellness.
Real-World Testing and Feedback
Sychedelic reports that over 100 early adopters have been using the product during the last six months, providing invaluable feedback that has helped refine the hardware, stimulation systems, and adaptive algorithms based on real-world experiences.
Regulatory Approval and Global Expansion
The startup has achieved approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), which has granted the product medical device status in India. It has also filed global patent applications, which are currently under patent-pending status. Sychedelic is concurrently operating in India and the US as it gears up for an international launch.
