Multi-sports training and coaching platform TIDA Sports has successfully raised Rs 3 crore during a seed funding round spearheaded by Inflection Point Ventures. The funds will be used to broaden its reach across five states and 30 cities, enhance its technology, fortify its B2B operations, onboard more coaches, and amplify its on-ground marketing initiatives, as stated in a press release from TIDA Sports.

About TIDA Sports

Co-founded in 2023 by Adit Goel, Sumeet Malik, Priyansh Matta, and Sanchit Budhiraja, TIDA Sports is dedicated to nurturing young talent within the sports sector. It operates in the youth sports training and development niche, distinguishing itself through structured coaching programmes, certified trainers, and a unique emphasis on harmonising sports with academics.

Market Potential

Research indicates that India’s sports industry is poised to expand from its current valuation of $52 billion to an estimated $130 billion by 2030. Furthermore, the sports tech market is expected to triple, potentially reaching around $61.7 billion globally by 2030.

Collaborative Efforts

TIDA Sports operates by forming partnerships with schools and collaborating with local sports bodies, ensuring that sports venues and thrilling tournaments are accessible to everyone. The company has joined forces with educational institutions such as GD Goenka, DPS, DAV, and Aravali to manage and elevate their sports programmes. Thus far, TIDA Sports has organised over 100 tournaments and has contributed to developing players who have represented their regions and the nation in high-level championships.

Current Operations

At present, TIDA Sports functions in Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Haryana with training centres located in Rishikesh, Haridwar, Dehradun, Chandigarh tricity, Patiala, Jalandhar, Ambala, Amritsar, Ludhiana, and Ferozepur. With more than 150 academies under its umbrella, the company aims to extend its presence to major cities across India, working towards establishing a robust and accessible sports development network nationwide.
