India Innovation Day 2026: A Platform for Innovation
India Innovation Day 2026 has successfully concluded in Gurugram, uniting over 1,200 founders, investors, corporate executives, policymakers, technologists, and ecosystem contributors to engage in discussions about India’s developing innovation economy. The 15th edition of this event, titled “Audacity of Now,” spotlighted India’s journey from being internet-centric to innovation-centric.
This event, previously named India Internet Day, showcased advancements across various sectors such as AI, DeepTech, direct-to-consumer (D2C), biotechnology, space exploration, quantum computing, and innovations focused on Bharat. During the event, sessions explored subjects such as indigenous AI infrastructure, foundational and language models, companies driven by AI, strategic technology initiatives, sovereign capabilities, collaboration between public and private sectors, AI-integrated decision-making, branding for consumers, and innovations in healthcare.
TiE The Knot: A Unique Investment Opportunity
A standout feature of the event, TiE The Knot, made a return for its 14th edition as a live investment platform, where startups pitched their concepts to potential investors. Organisers revealed that throughout previous editions, 69 startups have presented their pitches, with 31 acquiring funding commitments exceeding Rs 110 crore.
This iteration specifically targeted startups looking to raise between Rs 3 crore and Rs 8 crore.
Exploring Innovation through Future Frames
The event also included Future Frames, an AI film festival that examined storytelling methods facilitated by AI technologies, involving participation from filmmakers, students, and technologists.
India Innovation Day 2026 attracted a diverse range of participants from the startup, investment, and policy sectors, reinforcing its position as a vital platform for dialogues surrounding innovation, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies within India.
