TILT Launches Rs 250 Crore Venture Fund for India’s Next Billion

TILT, the impact-first investment platform of The/Nudge Foundation based in Bengaluru, has introduced a Rs 250 crore venture fund designed to support early-stage companies dedicated to serving India’s Next Billion. The focus of this fund will be on investments ranging from Seed to Series A stages, with investment amounts varying from Rs 2 crore to Rs 16 crore.

Investment Focus Areas

This venture fund will concentrate on businesses that harness science and technology in sectors such as agriculture, climate resilience, informal employment, MSMEs, employability, financial inclusion, market access, and AI-driven livelihood solutions. TILT’s commitment is to provide patient capital to these companies, acknowledging that they may need additional time to develop products, establish distribution channels, and create sustainable business models.

Support Beyond Funding

In addition to financial backing, TILT plans to empower its portfolio companies through research initiatives, market development strategies, partnership facilitation, and the establishment of robust ecosystem infrastructure.

Backing and Founders

This venture fund is supported by the Livelihood Impact Fund and a range of influential entrepreneurs, investors, and philanthropists, including Deep Kalra, Amit Gupta, Hari Menon, Binny Bansal, the Raj & Indra Nooyi Family Office, and Vidit Aatrey.

The/Nudge Foundation’s Legacy

TILT was established by Richa Singh and Atul Satija, building upon The/Nudge Foundation’s extensive eight-year engagement with social enterprises. The foundation has successfully supported over 190 social enterprises and invested approximately Rs 180 crore in grants. Looking ahead, TILT aims to assist 150 startups over the next 15 years, with a vision of impacting 100 million lives through its investments and ecosystem initiatives.
