ValueBridge Capital Expands Its Horizons with the Acquisition of VC-Focused Boon Capital

ValueBridge Capital Acquires Boon Capital to Enhance Early-Stage Financing

ValueBridge Capital, a member of the Merisis Group, has successfully taken over Boon Capital, which is an investment banking firm focusing on early-stage venture financing. The specifics of the financial deal remain undisclosed. This strategic acquisition introduces Garima Seth, the Founder and Managing Director of Boon Capital, to the Merisis Group alongside her skilled team. This move is predicted to fortify Merisis Group’s offerings in early-stage fundraising advisory services.

Merisis Group stands as a comprehensive financial services firm, engaging in investment banking, venture capital and wealth management. ValueBridge Capital solely concentrates on advising founders during their initial institutional fundraises, particularly before Series A and Series A rounds, with investment sizes ranging from $3 million to $15 million. Later-stage funding needs are managed by Merisis Advisors.

Merisis Group Expands Presence in Key Markets

Regarding the acquisition, Sumir Verma, Managing Director of Merisis Group, stated that this expansion further strengthens their footprint across three major cities while enhancing their proficiency in sectors focused on consumer needs, especially in the NCR region.

Boon Capital, established in 2021, has successfully organised funding for various startups, including RuskMedia, The Healthy Billion, Gynoveda, Stage OTT, and Asiaville, among others. Garima Seth remarked that with the robust network and resources that Merisis offers, startups will be well-equipped to receive support not only throughout their initial funding rounds but also as they progress and scale.

Leveraging Networks for Enhanced Offerings

In addition to early-stage fundraising assistance, Garima Seth is anticipated to utilise her extensive relationships with family offices to broaden the reach of Merisis Wealth’s offerings. This includes products like the Merisis Multicap PMS, Merisis Opportunities Fund (Category 1 AIF), and unique private opportunities.

Merisis Group’s investment banking division has provided advisory services to a variety of companies, including Ola, Perfios, Ixigo, DriveX, Jayem Auto, CedCommerce, Beato, Stockal, Kissht, Melorra, amongst others, in both fundraising and M&A domains.
