VerifAIX Secures Funding for AI-Native Semiconductor Verification

VerifAIX, a semiconductor verification startup that embraces AI-native technology, has obtained $5 million in a seed funding round co-led by Endiya Partners and Bluehill VC. The funds will be allocated for product enhancement, customer integration, and scaling its engineering teams in the US, India, and Israel, as indicated by a recent press release.

About VerifAIX

Founded in 2024 by Madhulima Tewari, Kenneth Roe, and Avner Landver, VerifAIX is developing an innovative AI-native verification platform tailored for semiconductor design. This platform is designed to assist engineering teams in verifying the complexities of modern chips with increased speed and rigor.

How the Platform Works

The VerifAIX platform merges artificial intelligence with formal methods to form a verification trust layer that links design specifications, register-transfer level (RTL), and verification assets. This facilitates a traceable verification process from design intent to final closure.

Key Features of the Verification Solution

At the core of VerifAIX’s offering is the “Formal Brain,” which establishes a mathematically grounded comprehension of a design alongside its expected behaviour. It evaluates specifications, RTL, and verification assets to detect inconsistencies and omissions, utilizing this basis for verification planning, formal analysis, simulation, coverage, debugging, and ultimately achieving verification closure.

Approach to Complex Designs

VerifAIX incorporates reasoning from specifications to RTL, automated decomposition, abstraction, and coordinated formal and simulation verification. This method addresses complicated designs while ensuring traceability to the initial design intent. The target audience includes custom-silicon developers, semiconductor and IP companies, developers of processors and AI accelerators, hyperscalers, and systems firms.

The Rise of AI-Native Verification Platforms in India

India’s semiconductor startup landscape is witnessing the rise of AI-native verification platforms as part of the wider chip design surge. Chennai-based deep-tech startup Vyoma Systems, developed at IIT Madras Pravartak, is advancing AI-driven pre-silicon verification through its UpTickPro platform, which integrates functional verification, FPGA validation, software bring-up, and security analysis.

Funding Trends in Indian Semiconductor Startups

This development takes place within a context of increasing capital investment in Indian semiconductor startups. In the first half of 2026, these companies attracted $61.9 million, bringing the overall funding since 2022 to approximately $206 million, according to the Speciale Invest and Startup Policy Forum report.

Notable recent funding rounds include BigEndian Semiconductors securing $6 million for its fabless SoC platform and HrdWyr raising $13 million in Series A funding to further develop AI-native SoCs.
