Vikas Khemani’s Carnelian Partners Pours Million into Kimirica

Kimirica Receives Investment from Carnelian Asset Management LLP

Carnelian Asset Management LLP, under the leadership of industry expert Vikas Khemani, has made a significant investment of around $15 million in the luxury vegan self-care brand Kimirica. This collaboration supports both facets of Kimirica: Kimirica Hunter (KH), which produces hotel amenities, and Kimirica Lifestyle (KL), a direct-to-consumer luxury beauty brand.

The funds will be allocated to enhance Kimirica’s omnichannel retail presence and deliver a self-care experience to a broader audience, according to information provided in a press release.

Founded in 2013 by Mohit, Rajat, Kimi, and Rica Jain, Kimirica started as a self-funded endeavour aimed at transforming an industry reliant on imports, where 90% of hotel toiletries were sourced from China. A decade later, Kimirica has successfully reduced that figure to nearly zero. The brand now exports to over 70 countries and collaborates with more than 10,000 luxury hotels and airlines, including notable names like Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Accor, Leela, and Air India.

Kimirica has recently ventured into the direct-to-consumer retail segment. As a vegan, cruelty-free, and fair-trade-certified brand, its offerings include skincare, body care, premium fragrances, luxury gifting, and home & wellness products.

Claiming a leadership position in the gifting and bath & body sectors, Kimirica markets its products through platforms such as Nykaa, Amazon, Tira, and various quick commerce channels. The brand’s retail presence is rapidly expanding, with over 10 new experiential stores planned across India and the Middle East.

Additionally, Kimirica continues to diversify into fast-growing segments, ranging from high-end fragrances to its newest men’s grooming line, The Gentleman.
