VWO and AB Tasty Merger Creates a Leading Digital Experience Optimization Platform
Wingify’s VWO and AB Tasty have reached a definitive agreement to unite their operations, forming a robust digital experience optimisation platform with significant footprints in both the US and Europe. A press release highlights that this merger will culminate in a platform boasting over $100 million in annual recurring revenue, alongside a client base exceeding 4,000 enterprises worldwide. Approximately 90% of the collective revenue will be generated from North America and Europe. The entity will function through 11 offices located in the US, Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region, concentrating on AI-driven experimentation, personalisation, analytics, and behavioural insights.
Singapore-based private equity firm Everstone Capital, which already possesses a majority share in VWO, is facilitating the transaction and will inject additional funds to ensure it remains the largest institutional stakeholder in the newly merged entity. The firm intends to bolster further product innovation and global reach.
This move comes on the heels of multiple strategic initiatives by VWO and its parent company, Wingify, over past years. In January 2025, Everstone disclosed its plans to take a controlling interest in Wingify for approximately $200 million. This transaction ranks amongst the most significant private equity deals in India’s SaaS sector. Founded by Paras Chopra, Wingify has developed a robust array focused on experimentation and user experience tools.
In its most recent developments, Wingify has acquired Blitzllama, an AI-driven user research company, to enhance its qualitative feedback and voice-of-customer functionalities. These strategic acquisitions augment VWO’s fundamental experimentation capabilities.
On the financial side, Wingify reported a stark profit drop of over 60% in FY25, despite a year-on-year revenue increase of 34%. This decline has been attributed to escalated expenditures on technology, talent acquisition, and global expansion. The merger between VWO and AB Tasty is anticipated to further solidify Wingify’s position in the international digital optimisation market.
