Adobe Unveils Integration of Google Gemini 3 into Firefly and Photoshop

Adobe Integrates Google’s Gemini 3 for Enhanced Creative Flexibility

Adobe has unveiled the incorporation of Google’s latest image model, Gemini 3 (with Nano Banana Pro), into its primary creative tools, Adobe Firefly and Photoshop, effective immediately.

This initiative aligns with Adobe’s promise to provide access to leading industry models, including its recently introduced Firefly Image Model 5, to users promptly upon launch, enhancing options and versatility for any creative project. The new model adds to an expanding array of partner models across image, video, and audio within Adobe’s ecosystem, featuring contributions from Black Forest Labs, ElevenLabs, Ideogram, Luma AI, Moonvalley, OpenAI, Pika, Runway, and Topaz Labs.

This multi-model strategy acknowledges that over 60% of creators utilise various creative AI models to select the appropriate tool for each task. Adobe aims to streamline the creative process, allowing creators to work seamlessly within the applications they already rely on for their finest work, thus eliminating the need for managing disparate tools or budgeting for multiple subscriptions.

Enhanced pro-grade capabilities

Nano Banana Pro brings considerable advancements over its predecessor, Gemini Flash Image 2.5 (Nano Banana). The upgraded pro-grade features empower creators to expand on their ideas further.

These enhancements enable users to employ text prompts for refining specific segments of an image, modifying aspect ratios, increasing resolution, and even altering camera angles and lighting. The model is proficient in generating clear, well-integrated text within images and can localise visuals with translated text. Furthermore, by leveraging Google Search’s knowledge base, the model can produce factually accurate visuals.

Integration across Adobe apps

In Adobe Firefly, the comprehensive creative AI studio for ideation, creation, and production, the Nano Banana Pro model is available within the Text-to-Image feature. It is also integrated into Firefly Boards, the AI-driven collaborative mood boarding environment. Here, creative professionals can cultivate campaign concepts by uploading texts, images, and icons, prompting the model to visualise them in real-world scenarios, such as billboards in New York City, for client evaluation. In Firefly, creators can upload up to six reference images and instruct Nano Banana Pro via text to merge and refine those elements into a cohesive image, inclusive of clean, integrated text.

In Photoshop, Nano Banana Pro serves as the latest model driving Generative Fill. This feature offers creative professionals swift, prompt-based methods to execute specific edits, generate more realistic high-resolution content, explore creative alternatives, and transition seamlessly from generative experimentation to pixel-perfect refinement. For instance, users can apply text prompts to modify the lighting of an image, transforming a daytime scene into a nighttime one.

Unlimited generations offer

To encourage users to begin creating with the new model, Adobe offers unlimited image generations with Firefly image models and partner models in the Firefly application until 1st December 2025. This offer is accessible to Creative Cloud Pro and Firefly plan subscribers. The integration aims to empower users to merge high-quality generations with the precision and control of Adobe’s industry-leading tools, enabling them to create precisely what they envision.
