New iPad Pro with M5 Chip for Enhanced Performance

Apple has unveiled the latest iPad Pro, now equipped with the M5 chip, which is its most powerful tablet to date. The M5 chip offers remarkable improvements in AI processing, graphics capabilities, and energy efficiency, establishing a new standard for high-performance tablets.

Exceptional Graphics and AI Performance

The M5 chip includes a state-of-the-art GPU with a Neural Accelerator integrated into each core, resulting in up to 3.5 times enhanced AI performance compared to the previous M4-powered iPad Pro, and up to 5.6 times quicker compared to the M1 version. Additionally, the new N1 wireless chip supports Wi-Fi 7, while the C1X modem provides 50 percent faster cellular connectivity.

John Ternus, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering stated that the new iPad Pro, powered by the cutting-edge Apple silicon, offers the most sophisticated and adaptable iPad experience to date. The iPad Pro featuring M5 unlocks limitless opportunities for creativity and productivity, highlighted by significant advancements in AI capabilities, superior graphics, lightning-fast wireless connectivity, and revolutionary iPadOS 26 features.

Stunning Displays and Design

The latest iPad Pro is available in both 11-inch and 13-inch models, each boasting the Ultra Retina XDR display with advanced OLED technology. This display achieves peak brightness levels of up to 1600 nits for HDR content and supports features such as ProMotion and True Tone to enhance colour fidelity. Additionally, a nano-texture glass option minimizes glare for professionals who work in brightly lit environments.

Advanced Neural Engine and Performance

The M5 chip contains Apple’s most sophisticated Neural Engine to date, facilitating quicker on-device AI operations like image generation and video masking in applications such as Draw Things and DaVinci Resolve. Its 10-core GPU and 10-core CPU provide performance that is up to 6.7 times faster for rendering compared to the M1, making this device ideal for tasks in 3D design, video editing, and gaming.

Smooth Multitasking and Fast Charging

With 150GB/s of unified memory bandwidth and storage speeds that are twice as fast, multitasking has never been more efficient. The iPad Pro supports rapid charging, enabling a 50 percent charge in approximately 30 minutes when used with Apple’s 70W USB-C adapter.

Enhanced Wireless Connectivity

The iPad Pro introduces Apple’s N1 chip for superior wireless networking, offering connectivity through Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. The C1X modem improves mobile connectivity and resource efficiency, featuring up to 30 percent lower power consumption compared to earlier models.

Portable and Slim

Weighing less and measuring just 5.3mm in thickness for the 11-inch model and 5.1mm for the 13-inch variant, the new iPad Pro is one of the most slender tablets available on the market.

Features of iPadOS 26

The device comes pre-installed with iPadOS 26, which introduces a refined user interface, new multitasking functionalities, and improved file management options. It also integrates Apple Intelligence to provide private, on-device AI capabilities, along with features such as Live Translation, new Shortcuts, and enhanced audio controls.

Compatibility with Accessories

The iPad Pro works seamlessly with the Apple Pencil Pro, which features squeeze and haptic feedback for increased precision, as well as the new Magic Keyboard that includes an aluminium palm rest and a function row.
