iOS 26.4 Update: What’s New
iOS 26.4 comes with 13 new features and enhancements across the user interface. Here’s what users can expect:
Apple Music
This update introduces a beta feature called Playlist Playground, which uses AI to create playlists based on user descriptions. A new Concert tab allows users to find upcoming shows from artists in their Library. Additionally, it suggests new artists depending on users’ listening habits.
Furthermore, Apple introduces the “Offline Music Recognition” feature in the Control Centre. Users can expect the Ambient Music widget to be added to the Home Screen, along with full-screen backgrounds for a more immersive Apple Music experience.
Accessibility Features
The update also enhances accessibility with a Reduce Bright Effects option that minimizes flashing visuals during interactions. Captions and subtitles can now be easily adjusted through a dedicated captions icon while viewing content. The Reduce Motion feature has been improved to better limit Liquid Glass animations.
Other Features
iOS 26.4 includes eight new emojis, featuring an orca, trombone, landslide, ballet dancer, distorted face, and others.
Freeform now includes enhanced tools for creating and editing images directly in the app. A premium library of ready-made content has also been integrated into Apple Creator Studio.
Users can now flag reminders as urgent through the Quick Toolbar or via a long press, filter them within Smart Lists, select specific payment methods in Family Sharing, and enjoy improved keyboard accuracy.
