Each week, ChatGPT sees usage from over 800 million individuals, with learning emerging as one of its most favoured applications. Users are now able to directly engage with Coursera videos and reliable course content within ChatGPT dialogues. They can call upon the app by name or see it suggested when ChatGPT recognizes that Coursera resources could enhance the conversation.
This collaboration highlights the mutual commitment of Coursera and OpenAI to broaden educational access and empower individuals globally to learn, develop, and succeed, according to Greg Hart, Coursera’s CEO. The Coursera app, developed using OpenAI’s new Apps SDK, signifies progress in scalable, personalised learning methodologies. By directly embedding Coursera’s extensive array of educational content within ChatGPT, learners can transition from initial interest to acquiring credentials at an accelerated pace and with improved confidence.
The newly launched app is accessible to all logged-in ChatGPT users outside of the EU on Free, Go, Plus, and Pro plans, initially available in English, with video subtitles and voiceovers offered in select languages.
