What’s New with the iPhone SE

The upcoming iPhone SE is likely to see a dramatic redesign. Currently, the iPhone SE retains an older aesthetic with its 4.7-inch display and physical Home button. However, leaks suggest that the new model could feature a larger display, a removal of the Home button, and the introduction of Face ID, replacing the former Touch ID, giving it an appearance similar to that of recent iPhone models. Despite the excitement generated by Cook’s teaser post showcasing a circular Apple logo, it seems improbable that the event will include the announcement of a second-generation AirTag. Gurman has dismissed this notion, indicating that Apple is unlikely to showcase a $29 accessory during a major event. While the AirTag 2 is in development, its release is anticipated for mid-2025. Rumoured upgrades for the new AirTag include a more tamper-resistant speaker, an improved Ultra Wideband chip with an extended range, and enhanced compatibility with the Apple Vision Pro headset.
