Google AI Pro Offers Major Discounts on Premium Services
Google AI Pro has introduced significant price reductions on its premium AI and cloud storage offerings, presenting a limited-time 50% discount on annual subscriptions. This competitive pricing strategy seems aimed at attracting new users to the Google AI Pro and Google One platforms as competition in the generative AI sector intensifies.
The Google AI Pro Annual Discount
The primary offering features a substantial 50% price cut on the Google AI Pro annual plan. This premium level caters to advanced users by providing exclusive access to the Gemini 3 Pro model and the “Nano Banana Pro” toolkit. Subscribers also gain from “Deep Research” functionalities and the “Veo 3.1 Fast” feature for rapid video production.
In addition to the AI resources, the subscription includes the standard 2TB of cloud storage, shared across Google Drive, Photos, and Gmail. Furthermore, it integrates the Gemini chatbot directly into Google Workspace applications, enabling users to create emails and documents with AI support.
Terms and Eligibility
This offer is exclusively for new subscribers who have never previously held a premium Google AI Pro or Google One subscription. It is a limited-time promotion, set to conclude on 15 January 2026.
Notably, the plan will automatically renew at the full standard price following the initial 12-month discounted timeframe. For instance, in the US, the fee drops from roughly $199.99 (Approximately Rs 17,950) to $99.99 (Approximately Rs 8,975) for the first year, but the subsequent year’s charge will revert to the full amount of $239.88 (Approximately Rs 21,530). Users wishing to avoid the elevated price must manually opt out of the auto-renewal feature.
Standard Google One Price Cuts
Alongside the offers for AI services, Google is reportedly running similar half-price promotions for its traditional storage plans. New subscribers in qualifying regions can secure the Basic 100GB plan for $9.99 (Approximately Rs 900), reduced from the standard $19.99 (Approximately Rs 1,800) annual fee. The same discount is applicable to the regular 2TB Premium plan, which usually costs $99.99 (Approximately Rs 8,975) per year but is currently priced at $49.99 (Approximately Rs 4,490) for those needing additional storage without the advanced AI features.
Availability for Indian Users
Although the announcement has generated considerable interest worldwide, the 50% discount is presently confined to select regions such as the United States. Recent observations reveal that the offer has not yet been made available to the Indian market. However, Indian consumers are encouraged to keep an eye on the Google One application, as the company often rolls out region-specific discounts aligned with the New Year or local shopping festivals.
