Google Pixel 10 Series Launch: Exciting Features and Upgrades
The Google Pixel 10 series is approaching its launch in August, with new leaks offering extensive insights into what the tech company has prepared for its forthcoming flagship smartphones.
Significant Hardware Enhancements in the Google Pixel 10 Pro
Recent information reported by Android Headlines indicates that the Pixel 10 Pro models will introduce substantial hardware upgrades over the older Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL. A key feature is the incorporation of Google’s latest in-house Tensor G5 chipset, which is said to be produced by TSMC using a 3nm process. This next-generation processor is anticipated to be combined with up to 16GB of RAM. The Pixel 10 Pro will offer storage choices of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, while the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL may forgo the base 128GB option, beginning instead at 256GB.
Display Improvements for Better User Experience
Upgrades to the display are also expected. Both models are likely to feature LTPO OLED panels with refresh rates of 120Hz and peak brightness levels reaching 3,000 nits. The Pixel 10 Pro might showcase a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro XL is anticipated to have a 6.8-inch screen. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is expected to provide added durability on both the front and back of these devices.
Camera Setup: Enhancements Yet to Be Confirmed
The rear camera configuration remains largely similar to that of the Pixel 9 series, featuring a 50MP wide primary sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP telephoto camera that supports 5x optical zoom. It seems Google may improve macro photography across the ultra-wide and telephoto lenses. The front camera, however, is likely to receive a significant upgrade to a 42MP sensor, up from the previous version.
Improved Battery Capacity and Charging Speeds
Battery capacity is expected to see slight increases. The Pixel 10 Pro may feature a 4,870mAh battery, just over the predecessor’s 4,700mAh size, and might come with an upgraded vapour chamber for better thermal management. Meanwhile, the Pro XL could include a 5,200mAh battery, making it the largest battery ever in a Pixel smartphone. It’s also suggested that wired charging rates will improve, with the 10 Pro supporting up to 29W and the 10 Pro XL capable of 39W charging. Both models are likely to maintain 15W wireless charging support.
Operating System: Anticipated Android 16 Launch
The Pixel 10 series will run Android 16 right out of the box, which is currently in public beta for devices starting from the Pixel 6. With the number and detail of leaks increasing, Google appears ready to unveil its next-generation flagship smartphones in the near future.
