Asus has unveiled its new Chromebook CX14 in India, enhancing its range of devices powered by ChromeOS. Aimed at younger learners and teachers, this Chromebook combines portability, reliability, and ease of use at an attractive entry price of ₹18,990.
Weighing merely 1.39 kg, the Chromebook CX14 showcases a sleek design featuring a wear-resistant paint finish and meets stringent US military-grade durability standards. This model is built with eco-friendly materials, incorporating 30% recycled plastic in its construction, and features a reinforced body using diamond and stone powder for improved scratch resistance.
Running on ChromeOS, this laptop is equipped with an Intel Celeron N4500 processor, alongside up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage. It provides a 14-inch Full HD screen, available with both TN and VIPS panel options, offering brightness levels up to 300 nits.
Connectivity and Features of the Chromebook CX14
Connectivity options on the Chromebook CX14 include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, a USB Type-C port equipped with Power Delivery and DisplayPort support, HDMI 1.4, USB Type-A, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Additionally, it features a Full HD camera with a physical shutter and dual microphones for seamless video conferencing, complemented by dual stereo speakers.
User-Friendly Design
Built for easy navigation, the CX14 showcases a 180-degree hinge, integrates Google Workspace support, allows for automatic updates, and offers offline access along with file backup capabilities. It also incorporates robust security measures, including built-in antivirus software and a Titan C security chip.
Pricing and Availability of the Chromebook CX14
The Chromebook CX14 is offered in two versions: the CX1405CKA-NK0154 priced at ₹18,990 and the CX1405CKA-NK0155 for ₹20,990. These models can be purchased on Flipkart as well as on Asus’s official online store. A third option, the CX1405CKA-S60394, will be made available on Amazon at a future date.
