Born in 1997 in Los Alamos, New Mexico, Wang displayed exceptional skills in mathematics and computer programming from a young age. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for a brief period before moving on to create Scale AI in 2016. By 2021, he achieved remarkable success, becoming the youngest self-made billionaire globally at the age of 24.

Under Wang’s vision, Scale AI has engaged with various industries, partnering with the US government and prominent tech giants such as OpenAI, Google, and Meta. In early February 2025, he convened with White House representatives and US lawmakers to address the challenges arising from China’s swift progress in the realm of artificial intelligence.
