As these individuals share their stories, many have also disclosed the severance pay Oracle is offering to employees in both the United States and India.

Severance Pay for US Employees Affected by Oracle Layoffs

Those impacted in the United States have received information concerning their severance pay, with many individuals sharing this information publicly.

In the layoff notification email, Oracle indicated that, after thorough consideration of the company’s current business needs, it has made the decision to remove certain positions as part of a wider organisational shift. The email stated that the day of notification would serve as the final working day for affected employees.

The follow-up communication regarding severance pay disclosed that employees will receive a four-week base salary for the initial year of service, plus an additional week for each subsequent year up to a maximum of 26 weeks. The calculation for severance pay is based on the most recent hiring date.

It is important to note that local labour laws, such as the WARN Act in the United States, may affect the final severance amounts. Additionally, severance policies can vary by location, and there is no assurance that the same benefits apply to employees in different countries.
