AI Agents and Human Ingenuity at Pinnacle Summit by Microsoft IDC
Microsoft’s India Development Center (IDC) recently organised its third annual Pinnacle Summit in Hyderabad, centred around the theme “Unlock the Agentic Future – Where AI Agents Meet Human Ingenuity.” The summit drew together technology leaders, developers, and industry collaborators, highlighting India’s vital role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence through agentic systems, AI-driven copilots, and large-scale enterprise innovation.
With more than 17 million developers currently on GitHub and aiming to establish the largest developer community globally by 2028, Microsoft has reiterated its commitment to nurturing the nation’s developing tech talent. Rajiv Kumar, Managing Director and President of Microsoft IDC, noted, “India’s developers will spearhead the next wave of transformative technologies.” He emphasised that the company takes pride in fostering AI innovations that promote India’s growth and provide broad global impact.
The summit included a keynote conversation featuring Kumar and Jay Parikh, Executive Vice President of CoreAI. This marked Parikh’s inaugural visit to India since joining Microsoft. Parikh remarked, “AI is revolutionising every aspect of our work, creation, and building processes.” He added, “It’s beyond mere theory now. Azure AI Foundry is already catering to over 60,000 customers worldwide, with Indian enterprises leading the charge.”
Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia, underscored that India is transitioning from being an AI consumer to becoming an AI creator. He stated, “Microsoft is now the platform for India to develop AI. Agents and Copilots represent the new AI user interface, blending IQ, EQ, and AQ (agency). It is here that true transformation starts.”
Several key Microsoft partners illustrated how they are achieving significant business results using Microsoft’s AI capabilities:
• Physics Wallah introduced Alakh AI, a learning suite powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4o on Azure, featuring tools like AI Guru and Smart Doubt Engine.
• Wipro elaborated on its transformation into an “AI Organisation” by integrating Microsoft tools within its enterprise workflows.
• Fractal showcased its unified agentic AI platform, enhancing decision intelligence for large corporations.
• Infosys claimed that developers utilising GitHub Copilot on Azure have created over 14 million lines of code.
• Kore.ai illustrated its use of Microsoft AI to reinvent automation in service and operational processes.
The event also hosted the IDC Tech Fair, featuring more than 200 booths that highlighted innovations in Copilot extensibility, Azure services, responsible AI, and secure AI systems. The summit culminated in the IDC Pinnacle Awards, honouring exceptional projects across categories like Agility & Productivity, User Delight & Customer Satisfaction, and Innovation.
