Magnetic Wireless Powerbanks – Click Trio and Nemo
Magnetic wireless powerbanks are gaining increased popularity due to their convenience and portability. Stuffcool’s new products, the Click Trio and the Nemo, aim to meet the requirements of modern users by merging MagSafe-style wireless charging with fast wired options, all contained within compact 10,000mAh designs. While both devices share certain similarities, they distinguish themselves in ways that could be significant depending on the user’s charging preferences.
First Impressions and Design
The Click Trio provides a touch more style than one might anticipate from a powerbank. With dimensions of 7.13 × 10.95 × 1.85 cm and a weight of 210 grams, it features a magnetic wireless surface, an integrated Type-C cable, a PD Type-C port, and a compact aluminium stand for holding up a phone. Additionally, it includes a 3W Apple Watch charging module embedded within the wireless coil. Every aspect appears well-considered and high-quality, including its airline-safety compliance and BIS certification.
The Nemo, on the other hand, takes a more compact and pocket-friendly design. With measurements of 10.6 × 6.0 × 2.6 cm and a weight of 205 grams, it resembles a candy bar with a magnetic charger for phones. It comes equipped with a built-in 20W Type-C cable, a USB-A port, and a small digital screen to display battery status in real-time. Similar to the Click Trio, Nemo is also designed for airline-safe usage and has the necessary certifications.
Wireless and Wired Charging Capabilities
The Click Trio brings multi-device wireless charging versatility. It can provide 15W wireless charging for compatible Samsung and Pixel phones (with MagSafe cases) and 7.5W for iPhones. A unique feature is the 3W integrated Apple Watch charger, allowing simultaneous charging of an Apple Watch alongside other devices. For wired charging, it offers a 20W PD Type-C port and an 18W built-in Type-C cable.
Nemo also delivers 15W MagSafe-style wireless charging for iPhones. For wired use, it includes a 20W built-in Type-C cable and a 22.5W USB-A port for brands such as OnePlus, Realme, and OPPO. The USB-C port also supports PPS output up to 22W. The wireless surface can provide 3W for an Apple Watch, although the focus is primarily on universal compatibility.
Portability, Practical Use, and Display Features
The Click Trio is equipped with a small aluminium stand that is integral to its design. This feature allows users to prop up their phones during charging, making it useful for watching media or video calls. Its magnetic surface and integrated cable help minimise tangle. While it measures just over 10 cm in length, making it compact yet not extremely thin, it successfully balances weight and practicality.
Nemo is designed for front-pocket storage. Weighing 205 grams and featuring a candy-bar size, it is easily portable. A standout aspect is its clear digital display that conveys remaining battery and charging status clearly, a feature absent in the Click Trio. Nemo is far easier to carry on a daily basis.
Performance Expectations and Real-World Output
In real-world usage, Click Trio functions effectively when charging a phone wirelessly or via cable. It claims the ability to charge an iPhone to 50 percent in just 30 minutes using the built-in Type-C cable and with 20W PD input. While wireless charging rates are reasonable, they are noticeably slower compared to wired options. Charging an Apple Watch with the 3W module may take several hours but serves well as a reliable emergency charging solution.
When tested, Nemo provided up to two full wired charges for an iPhone 16 based on its 10,000mAh capacity. Wireless charging replenished about 1.2 times the iPhone battery on a single magnet-on session, based on battery conditions. The USB-A port’s 22.5W output enables rapid charging for compatible Android devices. Although the wireless pad is functional, it is less efficient than wired charging methods.
Pricing and Value Proposition
- Click Trio is available at ₹2,699 and features wireless charging, Apple Watch support, a built-in cable, and a stand.
- Nemo is priced at ₹2,499, offering a compact design, dual wired charging ports, a display, and wireless functionality.
