Galaxy Buds Core Launch in India
Samsung is preparing to unveil a new pair of true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones, the Galaxy Buds Core, in India on 27 June at 12pm IST. This early introduction is set ahead of the highly awaited Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, which will occur on 9 July, where the earbuds were first anticipated to launch.
A dedicated teaser page has been launched on Amazon India, confirming the sale date and indicating that Samsung might be opting for a soft launch of the Galaxy Buds Core ahead of their flagship announcements. The product page, although not revealing extensive specifications, showcases the earbuds in a black charging case and confirms Amazon as one of the retail partners. Samsung India has also teased the launch on social media with the message, “Let the music move you to the core,” further intensifying rumours about the new device.
Additionally, metadata on Samsung’s official website and notifications via the Samsung Shop app have mentioned the Galaxy Buds Core by name, confirming the upcoming launch.
Specifications of the Galaxy Buds Core
Leaks indicate that the Galaxy Buds Core may serve as a successor to the Galaxy Buds FE from 2023. Expected features include availability in black and white colour choices, and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. Each earbud is rumoured to incorporate a touch sensor for gesture-based controls.
Audio Performance and Features
Audio quality is set to be a significant highlight, with Samsung asserting users will experience “every note, every drop, every beat – louder, clearer, deeper.” The earbuds are likely to offer active noise cancellation (ANC) and comprise AI-driven functionalities within the Galaxy AI suite. These include Interpreter and Live Translate modes, enabling real-time translation when linked with compatible Galaxy smartphones.
Connectivity and Battery Life
In terms of connectivity, the Buds Core are anticipated to support Bluetooth 5.4 and will include codec support for AAC, SBC, and Samsung’s Scalable codec. There are some inconsistencies concerning the battery specifications, with reports suggesting a 65mAh or 100mAh capacity per earbud, alongside a 500mAh charging case. Playback duration is stated to extend up to 20 hours on a single charge.
It is currently uncertain if the Galaxy Buds Core will launch in other markets prior to the Unpacked event, but additional announcements are expected in the upcoming weeks.
