Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: New Leak Unveils Specs and Pricing Ahead of Anticipated Release

Galaxy S25 Edge Launch Details – Slim Design and Impressive Features

Galaxy S25 Edge Launch Details

Galaxy S25 Edge is poised for a worldwide launch anticipated in April 2025. Recent leaks have unveiled significant information regarding this latest smartphone. Recently showcased at MWC 2025, new findings indicate that the device may weigh just over 160g, with an estimated price around $1000 (approximately ₹87,000).

A Slim and Lightweight Design

According to tipster Ice Universe on X (formerly Twitter), Galaxy S25 Edge is set to be among Samsung’s slimmest smartphones, measuring a mere 5.84mm thick—1.46mm thinner than the Galaxy S25+. Weighing in at 162g, the S25 Edge will also be significantly lighter than the 195g S25+. The lighter construction is due to its smaller 3,900mAh battery, as opposed to the larger 4,800mAh battery in the S25+.

The confirmed specifications for Galaxy S25 Edge include a weight of 162g, a thickness of 5.84mm, and a price comparable to that of S25+. If the pricing aligns, consumers will be deciding between the S25+ and S25 Edge.

Some reports suggest that Samsung may be substituting the conventional glass back with a ceramic rear panel. This change is expected to enhance durability while still offering a premium aesthetic.

Display and Performance

Leaked information indicates that Galaxy S25 Edge will sport a 6.65″ AMOLED display, which is slightly smaller than the 6.7″ screen found on the S25+. Nevertheless, the bezels are anticipated to be narrower, akin to those on the S25 Ultra, thus providing an immersive viewing experience.

The dedicated rendering of the S25 Edge conveys that the screen size is 6.656 inches, featuring bezels identical to the S25 Ultra, offering a more refined look when compared to the S25+.

Powering the device is expected to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, supplemented by 12GB of RAM. It is likely to operate with Samsung’s One UI 7, which is based on Android 15.

Camera and Battery Trade-Offs

Preliminary information suggests that the S25 Edge will be equipped with dual rear cameras, as observed during its presentation at Galaxy Unpacked and MWC this year. While the specifics regarding the sensors are not fully disclosed, Samsung is likely focusing on advancements in AI-powered photography to enhance picture quality despite the absence of an additional lens.

The smaller 3,900mAh battery has raised some doubts regarding battery performance; however, Samsung is expected to optimise software to enhance efficiency in response to these concerns.
