Galaxy Tab Active5 Enterprise Edition Launches in India

Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Tab Active5 Enterprise Edition in India, a resilient 5G-enabled tablet tailored for businesses functioning in challenging environments. The device will be available for pre-orders starting from 18 August, with prices starting at ₹49,999.

Target Sectors for the Galaxy Tab Active5

The Galaxy Tab Active5 is aimed at sectors such as defence, public safety, logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, and retail. It boasts an 8-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and operates on an octa-core processor. Available memory options include 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, both of which can be expanded via microSD up to 1TB.

Durability and Design Features

Engineered to endure tough working environments, this tablet has achieved MIL-STD-810H certification for durability, features Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and an IP68-certified S Pen. Samsung has also integrated a replaceable 5,050mAh battery, accompanied by a ‘No Battery Mode’ for uninterrupted operation when connected to power sources.

Warranty and Software Support

The Enterprise Edition comes with a 36-month warranty, which includes a 12-month warranty for the battery. It operates on Android 15 and will receive software updates for up to seven years. Additionally, users will benefit from a 12-month subscription to Samsung’s Knox Suite enterprise security platform.

Enterprise Solutions and Additional Features

Alongside the tablet, several bundled enterprise solutions are available. These include a year’s access to Samsung SDS’s Brity Works collaboration platform, limited access to the AI-enabled Brity Copilot, complimentary push-to-talk services from Zello until December 2025, and discounts of up to 50% on Google Workspace subscriptions for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Other specifications include loudspeakers suitable for noisy environments, programmable keys that support push-to-talk functionality, biometric authentication, and compatibility with 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. The package also includes a sturdy back cover, data cable, and S Pen.

The pricing for the Galaxy Tab Active5 Enterprise Edition starts at ₹49,999 for the 6GB+128GB version and goes up to ₹56,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant.
