TECNO Spark Slim: The World’s Slimmest 5G Curved-Display Smartphone
TECNO is gearing up to make a significant impact in India’s premium smartphone sector with the launch of the TECNO Spark Slim. This model is touted to be the world’s slimmest 5G smartphone featuring a curved display. The official unveiling is anticipated in September, with an approximate price of ₹80,000, positioning it against some of the highest-end smartphones available.
With a remarkable thickness of just 5.95mm, this device aims to redefine smartphone aesthetics. While Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge is marginally thinner at 5.85mm, it does not offer a curved display. If TECNO achieves durability and high performance within this slim profile, it might redefine industrial design standards.
What to Expect from TECNO Spark Slim
Although TECNO has not yet released confirmed specifications, it is widely speculated that the new model will draw inspiration from the Spark Slim prototype that was introduced at Mobile World Congress 2025. This showcased device merged an ultra-thin design with an exceptional specifications list: a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display operating at 144Hz, featuring a 1.5K resolution and peak brightness of 4500 nits. Despite its slim profile, TECNO reportedly integrated a 5200mAh battery into the design.
On the camera front, TECNO is anticipated to maintain a dual 50MP rear camera setup, accompanied by a 13MP front-facing camera. The construction is likely to include stainless steel and recycled aluminium, which would highlight both durability and a commitment to sustainability. Specifics regarding performance are still under wraps, but at this price point, a top-tier chipset will be essential for maintaining competitiveness.
This device is set to be priced around ₹80,000, indicating a strategic effort by TECNO to move beyond its budget-friendly reputation and contend against leading global brands.
If TECNO successfully merges innovative design with strong performance and lasting battery life, it may attract buyers looking for alternatives to the usual high-end contenders. However, in a market where consumer loyalty often prevails over design innovation, this initiative poses as much a challenge to TECNO’s brand recognition as it does to its engineering prowess.
