Tecno Unveils the World’s Slimmest Smartphone at MWC 2025

Tecno Slim Spark: The World’s Thinnest Smartphone at Mobile World Congress 2025

Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 is in full swing, showcasing remarkable innovations from leading brands like Xiaomi and Lenovo. Yet, Tecno has captivated attention with the introduction of the Tecno Slim Spark, a concept phone that has quickly gained recognition as the world’s thinnest smartphone.

The Tecno Slim Spark is impressively slim at just 5.75mm thick, which makes it even thinner than a standard pencil. At a weight of merely 146 grams, it stands out as one of the lightest smartphones ever revealed. In spite of its ultra-slim design, Tecno has included premium features that defy the usual compromises often seen in slim models.

Stunning Display and Durability

The smartphone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The screen is safeguarded by Corning’s Gorilla Glass, providing assurance that the phone will maintain its structure even if accidentally sat upon. Moreover, consumers will have the choice between a ceramic or stainless steel back, enhancing its overall durability.

Impressive Battery Life and Camera Setup

A notable attribute of this device is its 5,200mAh battery, which is remarkably only 4.04mm thick. This aspect addresses a frequent concern regarding thin smartphones, ensuring no significant compromise on battery longevity. Additionally, the Tecno Slim Spark is outfitted with a dual-camera system on the rear featuring 50MP capabilities, along with a front-facing camera of 13MP. Although specifics regarding the internal hardware are not yet public, Tecno has announced that the phone operates on a high-performance octa-core chipset.

The Future of the Tecno Slim Spark Remains Uncertain

Even with the enthusiasm surrounding the Tecno Slim Spark, it still exists as a concept without an official launch date. Its innovative design may inspire other manufacturers to pursue similarly slim smartphones, but there are no guarantees for mass production. If it does launch, the Slim Spark will compete with anticipated models like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and Apple’s rumoured iPhone 17 Air.

As the smartphone industry advances in design technology, the Tecno Slim Spark illustrates that ultra-thin devices can indeed feature robust specifications. Whether it will enter the global marketplace is yet to be determined, but its introduction at MWC 2025 has certainly ignited curiosity about the future of slim smartphones.
