With reports suggesting that the EV company is in the process of securing a showroom in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Tesla has advertised 20 job vacancies in Maharashtra—15 in Mumbai and five in Pune.
Tesla’s recruitment drive and growth initiatives in India underscore its commitment to leverage the rapidly developing electric vehicle market.

In addition, the company is close to sealing a deal for a new showroom in the prestigious Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai, which will span an impressive 4,000 square feet. The showroom in this upscale region is anticipated to involve a monthly lease of approximately Rs 35 lakh, making it one of the priciest commercial leases in the area, and showcasing Tesla’s confidence in the Indian market.
Pune Hiring and Future Expansion
In Pune, which is home to Tesla’s inaugural office in India, five roles are up for grabs. The vacancies include Application Product Engineer, Frontend Software Engineer, Application Support Analyst, Regional Security Specialist, and PCB Design Engineer.
Pune is swiftly transforming into an automotive centre, hosting prominent manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz and Tata Motors, which makes it a strategic site for Tesla.
Tesla’s long-term goals in India may include the potential establishment of a manufacturing plant. Reports indicate that government officials have identified potential sites in Chakan and Chikhali, close to Pune. These areas are well-known for their substantial automotive operations, aligning with Tesla’s strategic growth plans.
Following the establishment of the showroom in Mumbai, Tesla is also set to launch another showroom in Aerocity, Delhi. This move into the capital city of India highlights Tesla’s desire to secure a considerable market share by providing closer access to its range of products and services.
