Samsung Galaxy S26 series launch is imminent, with Samsung announcing an upgrade to its Galaxy AI capabilities through the integration of Perplexity. The firm is promoting this integration as a multi-agent ecosystem aimed at simplifying everyday interactions.

In a recent press release, Samsung noted that the reliance on AI agents has surged. Reports suggest that nearly 80% of users now depend on multiple types of AI agents.

Integration of Perplexity in Galaxy Devices

To adapt to this trend, Samsung is bringing Perplexity onboard as an additional AI agent for its upcoming devices, notably the Galaxy S26 series. This AI chatbot will be embedded throughout the Samsung ecosystem, extending across first-party applications such as Samsung Notes, Clock, Gallery, Reminder, and Calendar, in addition to selected third-party applications.

Samsung’s Vision for AI Ecosystem

Won-Joon Choi, who serves as President, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Head of the R&D Office within the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics, stated that the company is dedicated to forming an open and inclusive AI ecosystem. This ecosystem will empower users with greater choices, flexibility, and control to complete complex tasks efficiently. Galaxy AI functions as an orchestrator, merging various forms of AI into a seamless and intuitive user experience.

How to Activate Perplexity

To utilise Perplexity, users can either say “Hey Plex” or access it via quick-control settings by holding down the side button. This AI agent has been developed to help users streamline their daily routines and tasks. Given its direct integration into Samsung’s ecosystem, users can expect a more natural and context-aware experience.

Details on the Upcoming Galaxy S26 Series

As previously indicated, Perplexity is anticipated to be part of the Galaxy S26 series, which is expected to feature three variants: the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The smartphones are set to make their official debut on February 25, 2026, with the launch showcasing new Galaxy AI features, indicating a stronger shift towards on-device intelligence and smarter searching capabilities.
