WhatsApp Plus Subscription: New Features and Pricing Details
WhatsApp Plus Subscription, the latest offering from the Meta-owned instant messaging platform, is now being introduced to iOS devices. Initially spotted in beta, the rollout is currently limited to select iPhone users. According to reports from WABetaInfo, a broader release is anticipated in the forthcoming weeks, alongside potential exclusive features that WhatsApp Plus may provide.
WhatsApp Plus Subscription: Features and Expectations
It has been reported that the standard WhatsApp will continue to be free for all users. However, the WhatsApp Plus subscription will introduce various advanced features, including premium animated stickers, options for custom app icons, themes for the application, an extended range of ringtones, and the ability to pin up to 20 chats compared to the current limit of three.
Enhanced Group Management Tools
Additionally, WhatsApp Plus will offer new tools designed to simplify the management of chat groups. Users can form a custom list that consists of all their work-related chats or colleagues. Instead of modifying individual settings, they can uniformly apply themes, notification tones, or call ringtones to all chats in that list simultaneously. This feature enables better organisation and personalisation of multiple conversations.
WhatsApp Plus Subscription Pricing
At this stage, the WhatsApp Plus subscription has not been launched globally, which includes the United States. However, it has been mentioned that the subscription will cost €2.49 per month in European regions. The expected price in the US could range from $2.49 to $2.99, translating to approximately Rs. 284 in India. Currently, WhatsApp has not made any official announcements regarding this feature; therefore, users may need to wait a few more weeks for further updates and potential availability in India.
