Xiaomi 15 Series Launch in India
Xiaomi India has unveiled the pricing and availability details of its flagship Xiaomi 15 series in India, following its recent global introduction at Mobile World Congress (MWC) last week. This series features the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra, both equipped with Leica-engineered cameras and powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform. Pre-orders will commence on March 19, 2025.
Xiaomi 15 Details
The Xiaomi 15 showcases a 6.36″ AMOLED display with a refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz and boasts a screen-to-body ratio of 94%. It is driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and includes a 5240mAh battery featuring Xiaomi Surge Battery Management, which allows for 90W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities.
In terms of photography, the device sports a triple-camera system comprising a 50MP Leica Summilux main camera with an ƒ/1.62 aperture and the Light Hunter Fusion 900 sensor. Additionally, it incorporates a 60mm Leica floating telephoto lens and an ultra-wide lens, catering to focal lengths from 14mm to 120mm. The Xiaomi 15 also supports 8K video recording at 30fps and Dolby Vision 4K at 60fps.
This model will be available starting April 3, 2025, with an introductory price of ₹64,999. Customers opting to pre-book will receive the Xiaomi Care Plan, valued at ₹5,999, for free. This plan covers accidental and liquid damage, adding further value to the pre-order offer.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Overview
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, developed in collaboration with Leica, is crafted as a premium option focusing on top-tier photography capabilities.
It boasts a 1″ 50MP Leica Summilux main camera, which features a Sony LYT-900 sensor and supports an optical zoom range from 14mm to 200mm. Additionally, it is capable of 4K slow-motion video recording at 120fps, complemented by Ultra Image Stabilisation technology. The smartphone comes with a 6.73″ WQHD+ AMOLED display, achieving peak brightness levels of 3200 nits, and showcases a luxurious Silver Chrome finish combined with aerospace-grade glass fibre and PU leather. Powering this device is a 5410mAh battery, offering 90W for wired charging and 80W for wireless HyperCharge.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is listed at ₹1,09,999 and will also be available starting from April 3, 2025. Pre-booking customers will receive the Xiaomi 15 Ultra Photography Kit – Legend Edition, valued at ₹11,999, for free. This kit includes a shutter button, ergonomic grip, a 2000mAh battery for extended shooting sessions, and a 67mm filter adapter ring.
