Amazon Unveils Groundbreaking Community Development Projects in Telangana

Amazon Web Services (AWS) India has recently introduced multiple community development projects in Meerkhanpet village, situated in the Rangareddy district of Telangana. The initiatives include the establishment of a public park, the implementation of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purification system, and the renovation of facilities for a health sub-centre and a self-help group (SHG) resource centre.

The inauguration event was attended by Telangana MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy, along with prominent AWS leaders including Sergio Loureiro, Vice President of Global Data Center Operations, and Saji PK, Director of Data Center Operations for Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. These projects were executed in collaboration with the non-profit organisation SEARCH, as part of Amazon’s ongoing dedication to uplifting local communities.

During her speech, Reddy highlighted the critical role that corporations play in promoting economic growth and improving living conditions. She remarked, “Corporates are crucial partners in driving economic progress and enhancing quality of life. Amazon’s unwavering commitment has produced a significant positive impact in Telangana.”
